Kari Lee’s Specialties is a family business based in Minneapolis, MN founded in 1993 by Kari Lee Beutell—a home chef and mom of two little girls. Kari dreamed of sharing her favorite family recipes, time-tested through generations with her loved ones and community (that’s you!) while keeping up with the busyness of modern life.
Over 30 years, these recipes have been loved and shared in thousands of homes. Today, Kari and her two daughters (now all grown up) work together to share these tasty traditions with you and yours.

Developing our Classic Line was a full family affair! Kitchen helpers and taste testers, from Kari's daughters Dani and Paige, as well as friends and family perfected the secret recipes we still share today
1994
While continuing to develop new recipes, word of Kari's delicious mixes spreads fast. We get discovered by Williams Sonoma, Cracker Barrel, and mixes become available nationwide.

1998
The company continues to grow and we move into our first manufacturing space, affectionately nicknamed "The Cookie Factory"

Cracker Barrel serves Kari Lee’s Apple Crisp Mix in every restaurant nationwide, the first time in Cracker Barrel history they feature a partner's recipe on their menu.
